As part of the year of Smart Towns the Welsh Government provided every local authority in Wales with a Cisco Meraki WiFi system in order to count footfall on a town high street. Sharing footfall data with businesses is a great way to help them make data driven decisions, and consulting footfall figures can also help justify investment, or monitor the effect of any interventions.
